Description:

Ingredients:
For the beef patties:
500g (1 lb) ground beef (80/20 fat ratio recommended)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
For the special sauce:
½ cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon mustard
1 tablespoon finely chopped pickles (or relish)
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon paprika
For assembling:
4 burger buns with sesame seeds
4–6 slices cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded lettuce
½ onion, finely chopped
Pickles (optional)
Butter (for toasting buns)
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the patties
Divide the ground beef into equal portions and shape into thin patties.
Season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Make a small indent in the center of each patty (prevents shrinking).
Step 2: Make the sauce
In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, chopped pickles, garlic powder, and paprika.
Stir until smooth and set aside.
Step 3: Cook the patties
Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat.
Cook patties for 2–3 minutes on one side.
Flip, add cheese slices on top, and cook another 1–2 minutes until melted.
Remove from heat.
Step 4: Toast the buns
Spread a little butter on the buns and toast them in a pan until golden.
Step 5: Assemble the burgers
Spread sauce on the bottom bun.
Add lettuce, then the beef patty with melted cheese.
Add onions and pickles.
Add another patty (for double burger).
Spread more sauce on the top bun and close.
Serving ideas:
Serve with fries or potato wedges
Add a cold drink or milkshake
Pair with a simple salad
Tips:
Don’t overwork the meat—this keeps patties juicy.
Use high heat for a nice crust on the burger.
Customize with tomato, bacon, or different cheeses.
