Fluffy Blueberry Pancakes with Maple Syrup

Description:
These pancakes are soft, thick, and fluffy with a golden-brown surface. Topped with fresh blueberries and warm maple syrup, they make a perfect breakfast or brunch treat.
Ingredients:
For the pancakes:
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 ¼ cups milk
1 large egg
3 tablespoons melted butter (or oil)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For topping:
Fresh blueberries
Maple syrup
Extra butter (optional)
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the batter
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, mix milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients.
Stir gently until combined (do not overmix—small lumps are okay).
Step 2: Heat the pan
Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat.
Lightly grease with butter or oil.
Step 3: Cook the pancakes
Pour about ¼ cup of batter onto the pan for each pancake.
Cook until bubbles form on the surface (about 2–3 minutes).
Flip and cook the other side until golden brown (1–2 minutes).
Repeat with remaining batter.
Step 4: Assemble
Stack the pancakes on a plate.
Add butter on top (optional).
Pour warm maple syrup over them.
Top with fresh blueberries.
Tips for perfect pancakes:
Do not press the pancakes while cooking—they will lose fluffiness.
Let the batter rest for 5–10 minutes for better texture.
Use medium heat to avoid burning the outside before the inside cooks.
Optional variations:
Add blueberries directly into the batter
Use honey instead of maple syrup
Add chocolate chips for a sweeter version
