👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Make the stew base
In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat.
Add onion, garlic, carrots, and celery. Cook for about 5 minutes until soft.
Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and stir well to form a paste.
2️⃣ Build the creamy soup
Slowly pour in chicken broth while stirring constantly.
Add milk, shredded chicken, peas, salt, pepper, and thyme.
Let it simmer for 10 minutes until slightly thickened.
3️⃣ Prepare the dumplings
In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add melted butter and milk.
Stir until a soft dough forms (don’t overmix).
4️⃣ Cook the dumplings
Drop spoonfuls of dough directly onto the simmering stew.
Cover the pot with a lid.
Cook on low heat for 15 minutes without lifting the lid.
👉 The dumplings will puff up and become soft and fluffy.
