Ingredients:
For the Steak and Shrimp:
2 ribeye steaks (about 1-inch thick)
8 jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 tbsp olive oil
4 tbsp unsalted butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp smoked paprika
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
For the Garlic Mashed Potatoes:
4 large potatoes, peeled and chopped
4 tbsp unsalted butter
1/3 cup heavy cream
3 garlic cloves, minced
Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Sauce:
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken or beef broth
2 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp smoked paprika
Instructions:
Prepare the Mashed Potatoes:
Boil potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and mash with butter, cream, and garlic. Season with salt and pepper.
Cook the Steaks:
Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season steaks with salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare or to your desired doneness. Remove and let rest.
Sear the Shrimp:
In the same skillet, add 1 tbsp olive oil and 2 tbsp butter. Toss in shrimp, garlic, and smoked paprika. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until shrimp turn pink. Remove and set aside.
Make the Sauce:
In the same skillet, add broth, cream, Dijon mustard, and smoked paprika. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring until thickened.
Assemble the Dish:
Place mashed potatoes on a plate. Top with steak and shrimp. Drizzle sauce over and garnish with parsley. Serve hot!
