1 (2-liter) bottle lemon-lime soda (e.g., Sprite or 7-Up), chilled
1 (12 oz) can frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
1/2 gallon lime sherbet, slightly softened
Green food coloring (optional, for a vibrant hue)
Red sanding sugar (for rim garnish, optional)
Maraschino cherries (for garnish, optional)
Directions:
In a large punch bowl, combine the lemon-lime soda and limeade concentrate. Stir gently until the limeade is fully dissolved.
Add scoops of lime sherbet to the punch bowl, letting it float on top for a frothy, festive look.
If desired, add a few drops of green food coloring to intensify the punch’s color. Stir lightly to blend without fully dissolving the sherbet.
For an extra festive touch, rim glasses with red sanding sugar. To do this, dip the rims of the glasses in water or lime juice, then dip into the red sugar.
